Tokyo has been chosen as the host
city for the 2020 Olympic Games. I believe some people are happy to stage the
event, but most of people, including myself, don't have much interest in
hosting the games. The enthusiasm is so limited among Tokyo residents, because,
as you probably guess, there are more political purposes than sporting ones to
bring them in town. We might as well use our taxes for something else.
Anyway, the Olympics are coming in
town. I am listing my postings about the city below.
Take a look at them to see what the city is like.

I don’t think the faces of Tokyo
streets will change a lot for the next 7 years. Hosting a 2 week Olympic event doesn’t give
much economic and social impact to a well-established city like Tokyo. You could
see these scenes in 2020 as well.
The photos below were taken at Yoyogi
Park which is a couple of kilometers away from National Olympic Stadium - the
main stadium of the 2020 games - in the cherry blossom season of April. It’s a very nice park to hang out. Might be more enjoyable to watch the games.
