Sirabu Onsen is a historic small
onsen town located about 30km away from downtown Yonezawa. It opened more than
400 years ago originally as a therapeutic bathing place.
Sirabu Onsen is in the middle of mountains, but still quite accessible
from the central area of Yonezawa City.
The convenient location makes the hamlet being popular for various sightseeing
features, not only hot spring bathing , but skiing/snowboarding, hiking, hanami
(=cherry-blossom viewing)/fall-leaf viewing,,,etc.
You can be definitely satisfied with its relaxed
and tranquil atmosphere with a lot of fun.
