The City of Shinjo is not so big. But I found a lot of funny scenes on the streets while strolling.

Dentist, it shows.
Funny name flower shop. The Japanese sign says "Hanaya (= florist's) Flower Shop" What else does florist sell at their shop? Maybe "Hanaya" is the family name of the owner.
No idea what this statue is all about.
The signboard of a computer shop.
What a retro-looking barbershop. Back in 70's style.
Front door of the barbershop
No idea who this goofy guy is.
This signboard says "the smallest Central Hotel in Japan" Wonder how they recognize themselves as the smallest one in the country.
Entrance of the smallest Central Hotel, doesn't look so small though.
Traditional Japanese style inn named "Tomare-ya". Rough translation goes like this "You gotta stay here Inn" Well, maybe I prefer the Japan's smallest Central Hotel.
Nurse Club of Shinjo. Not a hospital, but a Cosupre (= costume play) bar. Maybe more services are available inside. FYI: Cospure http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosplay
This guy is not a part of funny stuff of the city. A friend of mine running a Japanese tea shop.
In front of his shop.
